1. Who you're contracting with
MarginCraft is provided by Automatify Handelsbolag, a Swedish handelsbolag (trading partnership), organization number 969782-2584. "Automatify" is MarginCraft's developer/product brand; Automatify Handelsbolag is the registered legal entity and the contracting party under these Terms — see §16 for its formal contact details.
Support: support@margincraft.app — see §11.
2. Service description
MarginCraft is a Shopify embedded application that calculates estimated contribution profitability for orders and products in a merchant's Shopify store, using data fetched from the merchant's own Shopify account together with cost, fee, tax, and margin-target configuration the merchant enters into MarginCraft.
MarginCraft provides profitability analytics. It is not accounting, tax, or legal advice, and it does not replace a merchant's own bookkeeping, accounting, or tax-filing systems or advisors. Figures shown in MarginCraft are estimates derived from the data Shopify reports and the assumptions the merchant configures — see §5.
3. Dependency on Shopify
MarginCraft operates entirely within, and depends entirely on, the Shopify platform:
- MarginCraft is installed through the Shopify App Store or a direct
- MarginCraft reads order and product data from the merchant's Shopify
- MarginCraft's availability, performance, and certain functional

behavior (including billing — see §6) depend on Shopify's own platform, APIs, and services remaining available and behaving as documented. We are not responsible for outages, API changes, or behavior changes originating from Shopify itself.
suspended, cancelled, or otherwise made inaccessible by Shopify, MarginCraft's service to that merchant is affected accordingly.
4. Your Shopify store and account
You must have the authority to install apps on the Shopify store you connect to MarginCraft (typically the store owner or a staff account with app-management permission). You are responsible for the accuracy of any information you provide to Shopify in connection with your store and for maintaining the security of your own Shopify admin account — MarginCraft has no independent login of its own outside of Shopify's embedded-app authentication.
5. Accuracy of results — merchant responsibility for configuration
MarginCraft's profitability figures depend directly on:
- Data Shopify reports for your store (order totals, taxes, discounts,
- Configuration values you enter into MarginCraft yourself: cost prices,
shipping charges, product costs where you've set Shopify's own "Cost per item")
packaging cost, payment-fee rates, VAT treatment, shipping/handling assumptions, and target margin
If cost prices, payment-fee rates, VAT settings, shipping costs, packaging costs, or other configured values are missing, incomplete, or incorrect, the profitability figures MarginCraft shows will be correspondingly incomplete or incorrect. MarginCraft is designed to make clear, wherever practical, when a figure is an exact Shopify value, a value you configured, an estimate, or missing information — but it cannot independently verify the correctness of values you enter, and it cannot recover information Shopify itself does not report.
You are responsible for reviewing and maintaining the configuration values you enter, and for independently verifying any figure before relying on it for a business, accounting, tax, or legal decision.
6. Subscription, pricing, and billing
MarginCraft is offered on a subscription basis, billed through Shopify's own native app-subscription billing (the Shopify Billing API) — not through a separate payment processor, and not through direct credit-card collection by MarginCraft.
- Current price: €29.00 EUR per month, for the single MarginCraft
- Free trial: 14 days, using Shopify's own native trial mechanism.
- Pricing is subject to change; if it does, the change will be reflected
- Development/test Shopify stores may be billed using Shopify's test-
plan (all current features included; no feature tiers).
You are not charged during the trial.
through Shopify's own billing/subscription-approval flow, which requires your acceptance before any new price takes effect on your store.
charge mechanism, which is never actually collected — this applies only to development stores as defined by Shopify, not to a live, paying merchant's store.
Cancellation
You may cancel your MarginCraft subscription at any time from your own Shopify admin (Settings → Apps and sales channels → MarginCraft), or by uninstalling the app, which cancels the subscription automatically. MarginCraft does not currently provide a separate in-app cancellation flow — cancellation happens entirely through Shopify's own subscription management.
Whether cancellation mid-billing-cycle results in a prorated credit is governed entirely by Shopify's own billing mechanics for the cancellation path used — MarginCraft does not separately configure or commit to a proration policy of its own. We do not promise refunds, proration, or any specific cancellation outcome in these Terms — refer to Shopify's own current billing documentation and your Shopify admin for the definitive behavior at the time you cancel.
7. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep MarginCraft available and working as described, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, add to, or remove features, and may suspend the service for maintenance, without that constituting a breach of these Terms, provided we do not do so in a way that is arbitrary or in bad faith toward active subscribers.
8. Intellectual property
MarginCraft's software, design, and branding are owned by Automatify Handelsbolag (see §1) and are not transferred to you by installing or subscribing to the app. You retain all rights to your own store data, and to the configuration values you enter into MarginCraft.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use MarginCraft to violate applicable law; attempt to gain unauthorized access to MarginCraft's systems or another merchant's data; interfere with or disrupt MarginCraft's operation; or use MarginCraft's output in a way that misrepresents it as independently audited financial, accounting, or tax advice.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law: MarginCraft is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in this section is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the law that governs these Terms (see §13) — including, where applicable, liability that Swedish consumer-protection or other mandatory law does not permit a business to disclaim. Subject to that limitation, to the extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or MarginCraft is limited to the subscription fees you paid for MarginCraft in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
The specific limitations that are enforceable, and any mandatory carve-outs, are determined by Swedish law (see §13).
11. Support
For support, questions, or data-related requests, contact support@margincraft.app.
See the MarginCraft Privacy Policy for how to exercise data-related requests specifically.
12. Privacy
Our collection and use of data is described in the MarginCraft Privacy Policy at https://margincraft.app/privacy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Sweden, unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise. No specific Swedish district court or exclusive venue is designated — jurisdiction follows whichever Swedish court has competence over the dispute under generally applicable Swedish procedural rules.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate MarginCraft's availability to your store if you materially breach these Terms, or if your Shopify subscription to MarginCraft ends (including by uninstalling the app). You may stop using MarginCraft at any time by uninstalling it — see §6 and the MarginCraft Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, publishing the current version at https://margincraft.app/terms. For material changes, we will also aim to inform merchants through an additional channel where practical — such as an in-app notice or email — but we do not promise a fixed advance-notice period.
